ABOUT THE BEES
Coach Bobby McWilliams’ Bees are the defending Class 3A Tennessee state champions. On the way to its first-ever state crown last season, the Bees fashioned a 31-3 record behind the play of 6-2 junior guard Ty Cobb, who earned 3A Mr. Basketball honors in Tennessee as a sophomore. Cobb averaged 27.1 ppg last year, scoring 33 points in the state title game and tying a single-game state tournament record for free-throw percentage with a 14-for-14 performance. He is ranked second in Tennessee’s 2027 class, received a 4-star rating from 247Sports, and has already signed with Liberty.
