ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
Led by legendary Coach Joe Wooten, the Knights were Virginia state runners-up a year ago. Wootten, who earned his 500th in 2023, has earned five Virginia prep titles and has been named the Virginia State Independent Coach of the Year four times. In 27 years as head coach, he has averaged 25 wins a year.
The Knights will be led by all-state guard Darius Bivins, who averaged 12 ppg as a junior while nailing 40 percent from 3-point range. He is 59th in ESPN’s National Rankings and is being recruited by Seton Hall, Rutgers, and Texas Tech. Corey Dixon, son of NBA player Juan Dixon, and Justin Edwards will also pace the Knights’ attack.
