ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
The Blue Devils, who competed in Class 3A hoops last year, have dropped down to Class 2A this season and are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance and a 21-14 record. Pacing the Unicoi County attack will be point guard Jackson Simmons, an all-state selection last season. He averaged 21.2 points and 4.2 rebounds a game as a junior. Simmons hits 43.6 percent of his 3-point tries and has scored nearly 2,000 points in three years.
