Tennessee High School

A Class AAA quarterfinalist the year before after an upset win at Clinton in the sub-state, and still searching for depth with 6-6 center Davy Wilson back from a knee injury. Dale Burns' tricky matchup zone could unsettle experienced teams; 6-7 sophomore center Adam Morgan was becoming one of the conference's best shot-blockers and 6-4 junior forward Justin Carrier was taking over the boards. 6-2 senior forward Brandon Carter (16.7 ppg) carried the scoring, with 6-0 senior guard C.J. Manahan (10.5). Burns was in his 20th year. 4-6 coming in.
