Dickie Warren, the most successful boys coach in Tennessee with 850 career wins, had a frustrating, inconsistent team that was impressive only when it played together. Michael Maxwell, a 6-2 senior guard, led at 17.1 points a game and 6-4 junior Steve Swift added 13.6, with his brother Scott, a 6-1 sophomore, 5-11 senior point guard Danny Taylor and 6-2 senior Matthew Jones also starting. 6-5 coming in.
