One of the area's biggest surprises, ranked fifth in Upper East Tennessee and a factor in the Big Nine race with a young team. Senior guards Warren White (5-10, 17.8 ppg) and Scott Stecz (9.6) carried it; everyone else but spot player Allen Irvin was a junior or sophomore, the most promising 6-5 sophomore David Smith, who scored 20 against Science Hill. Dickie Warren coached them. 8-3 coming in.
