An annual Classic participant, regional qualifiers the previous season and third in a tough District 1. Mike Williams's Rebels were led by two returning starters — 6-6 post J.T. Broome and 6-3 guard Hunter Bledsoe — with point guard Jimmy Winegar also expected to lead. Aggressive man defence and a fine-tuned motion offence were their trademarks.
