A year after coaching his youngest team, Mike Williams had every player back and much improved, though still small: the tallest Rebel stood 6-4. Guard Jeff Miller, back from a knee injury that cost him most of the previous season, ran the offense at 14 points, and 6-3 Jeff Lyons scored 14.4 with clutch baskets in close games. Travis Smith (6-3, 8.8), Brian Lawson (6-2, 9.2), Daniel Williams, John Montgomery and Joe Nelson rounded out the possible starters. 7-2 coming in.
