As usual, the area's hope for an Arby's champion, in a stacked half of the bracket. Demetric Stevens, a 5-11 senior guard, averaged nearly 24 points, but the Hilltoppers were at their best when 6-3 senior center Jermaine Love, their only steady source of inside offense, was producing; 5-6 senior B.J. Hairston ran with Stevens in the backcourt. Taller teams could blunt the press. Mike Poe was the coach. 11-3 coming in.
