Robert High returned every starter from a team that finished fifth at the Classic a year earlier, reportedly the best in Chattanooga, and could go ten deep. 5-5 sophomore point guard Chad Davis, a three-point specialist, led at 15 points, beside senior Denier Smith (6-3, 11). Senior Demetrius Alexander, a 6-4 shot-blocker, scored 14 inside; junior Mario Beaman (10) and Tshombe High (13), the reigning Arby's Classic dunk champion, filled out the frontcourt, and former starter Eddie Kellum added 13 off the bench. 10-2 coming in.
