A late start after the football team's run to the Class 4A semifinals, and a five-game losing streak since. Two 6-3 seniors gave the Cyclones three-point threats, forward Joel Street (10 ppg) and guard Brent Ellis (15), and point guard Shawn Witten knew how to win; the bench went nine or ten deep. Tony Hardin, in his third year, had reached the Region 1-AAA tournament in both of the others. 3-7 coming in.
