All-tournament team selections
Expected to be one of the best teams around Richmond, Frank Threatts' Justices had played only two games because of poor weather, the latest a loss to Thomas Jefferson, Richmond's top team, in a game tied after three quarters. Senior guard Ray Hood (6-1), the lone returning starter and a baseball prospect, and junior forward Jason Williford (6-6), recruited by almost every major school, led them. Forward Roger Battle (6-4, jr.), center David Holley (6-5, jr.) and guard Darren Thornton (5-11, sr.) completed the lineup. 1-1 coming in.
