Larry Rhymer brought two all-state players and perhaps the best team in the Inter-Mountain Conference. Senior point guard Johnny Galyon (5-10), first-team all-state a year earlier, scored at a 19-point clip after a slow start, and 6-3 senior James "Little Man" Stewart, a Division I football prospect at running back and honorable mention all-state in basketball, led at 21.5. Junior center Tyler Stockman (6-5) added 11 points and 11 rebounds, with junior David Stump (6-3) at forward and Scottie Stewart or Johnny Kington at two-guard. 8-3 coming in.
