State semifinalists two seasons running and picked to win the district again, though six seniors had gone. 6-4 senior Shawn Hutchins (16.3 ppg), a quarterback, and 6-5 senior Justin Seaver (18.3), a receiver, were college football prospects and forces in the paint; 5-10 senior Nathan Shreve, a tailback, defended the perimeter. Since 1993 the Blue Devils had won four regional titles. 2-1 coming in.
