Class AAA champions, 8-0 with a win over Raleigh-Egypt, second-ranked in Memphis, and the tournament favorite if there was one. 5-10 senior guard Reiley Ervin, a Harvard signee, ran the offense without needing the big numbers, with 6-4 senior forward Johnathan Ball and 6-8 senior center Taylor Schall. Terry Tippett's team made the most of its possessions and defended the way champions do.
