Louisville Central High School

For years the county's only black high school, with Kentucky state titles in 1969 and 1974 and the state's 1969 Mr. Basketball, Ron King; redistricting had cost it students and a 4-18 season. Ralph Johnson, a former Louisville Male assistant in his second year, had lost only by two to Louisville Butler. Guard Orlandus Richardson (5-11, sr.) led the scoring at 15, with freshman forward Dewayne Martin (6-6), center Michael Anthony (6-8, soph.) and guard Derrick Miller (5-8, jr.). 4-1 coming in.
