Off to a good start despite losing two players Bill Davidson had counted on, and well rested, with the last game of the opening day and a scouting trip to see Dobyns-Bennett in Nashville behind them. 6-9 sophomore center Ronnie Robinson averaged 18 and had just scored 34 on 13 of 15 with 14 rebounds against Livingston; forwards Bryan Sasser and Corey Smith and guards Tim Farris and Victor Harris started with him. 8-3 coming in.
