The pre-tournament favourite, ranked second in Florida the previous season and expected to be first. Fred Jones's Bulls were built around 6-10 Corey Louis, an all-state performer ranked among the top 15 high school players in the country and the best inside player at that summer's ABCD camp. Alongside him were 6-7 Tim James, among the top 40 juniors in the country and the team's leading scorer at 20 points a game, and 6-9 Darius Cook.
